Ovulation induction and hormonal medication therapy are often the first line of treatment doctors employ to treat infertility. These methods are relatively inexpensive, very accessible and non-invasive. Either oral or injectable drugs are used depending on the particular ovulatory or hormonal issue. They stimulate the ovaries to ovulate when this does not normally occur and/or to increase the number and quality of eggs. At Tower Fertility, we carefully monitor this process with frequent blood and ultrasound tests.
Ovulation induction is also used with other treatments such as intrauterine insemination and in vitro fertilization.
