A graduate of the Universidad Del Valle Medical School in Cali, Colombia, Dr. Garcia completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Paterson, New Jersey. This was followed by a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
His major administrative responsibilities have included several prestigious hospital leadership positions in local medical centers. He was director of the division of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) from 1980 through 1986. In 1987, Dr. Garcia was appointed director of the division of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at St. Joseph's Hospital. He then served as the division director of reproductive endocrinology at Hackensack University Hospital for six years. Before starting Tower Fertility Center, Dr. Garcia was medical director of the North Jersey Center for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. Garcia has taught future physicians and has had university appointments as assistant clinical professor at New York State University in Brooklyn, NY; assistant clinical professor at the UMDNJ in the Department of Gynecology; and assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UMDNJ.
A published author, Dr. Garcia has written nummerous articles and reports for Fertility and Sterility, the Journal of Reproductive Medicine and other prestigious professional publications in the reproductive medicine field. He also has made presentations at national and international conferences. He holds membership in the following organizations: American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Fertility Society, the New York Gynecological Society, the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopy, The Society of Reproductive Surgeons and the New Jersey Obstetrical Society.
Dr. Garcia 's work in the fertility field has brought him great joy and professional satisfaction from helping hundreds of couples over the years achieve their most cherished dreams of having children.
